Day one saw us walking around Soho, Oxford Street and Regents Park, spring had arrived with warm sunshine, blossoms and birds.
The evening saw us at the Lyceum to see the Lion King, what a magical show, the best we've ever seen. With aisle seats in the front stalls I experienced the spectacle of a massive elephant walk right past me to the stage followed by endless other animals. We loved it!
Next day we walked to Oxford Street, Carnaby Street, Chinatown, Leicester Square to M&Ms shop where we must have been the only people not to buy any - we just ate the free samples! Lego shop was good to see. Along the Mall to Buckingham Palace and lunch in St James Park with spring flowers and endless ducks. Past Big Ben, Houses of Parliament to the London Eye where we had free tickets courtesy of one of my nieces - thank you. Great views!
Back to don my cowboy boots and away to the O2 for 5 hours of non stop Country music. On the main stage was Jennifer Nettles, Chase Bryant, Cam, Chris Young, Cassadee Pope and my favourite of the night Brad Paisley.

Zac Brown Band
Saturday, we walked to Covent Garden then to St Pauls. Climbed the endless steps to the Whispering Gallery where we didn't have much luck with the whispering! A beautiful church!
Back to the O2 at night to see Dan & Shay, Bailey Bryan, Hunter Hayes, Seth Ennis, Darius Rucker (who was fab, we last saw him in Albuquerque) and Reba McEntire topped the bill.
Our last day was an early start at O2 so we spent the morning at the British Museum getting some culture and brain overload! Was good to see! I have now seen the Rosetta Stone!
Our final night at the O2 had Brothers Osborne, Maren Morris, Lucie Silvas, Jana Kramer, Marty Stuart and the amazing Zac Brown Band who finished the show.
End of an absolutely perfect weekend - all thanks to my son John for everything.
