Decided to leave late Thursday
afternoon and have 4 nights at the Hawsker site we stayed at last
year as its only about an hour away.
Easy ride over the moors with the
heather just coming out in places.
Sun and clear blue skies greeted us as
we arrived, the couple next to us said it had been raining all day!
Friday, we drove to Robin Hood's Bay
and did a 7 mile loop hike going along the beach to Boggle Hole, our
old camping area from the late 60's. The trail took us uphill and
past Ramsdale Mill Farm and Fyling Hall school to end on the old
Whitby Scarborough railway line. Back in time to watch the Tour de
France. Sun shone most of the day.

On Saturday, with rain forecast we
drove to Skinningrove and did a 51/2 mile walk along the Cleveland
Way, across the valley to Brotton and back to Cleveland Way. We
managed lunch in a play park in Brotton before the rain came but it
was a brief shower and the sun shone for the rest of the day.

Our last day we planned to do a walk
from Staithes after visiting some Yacht club friends who live in
Sleights but after spending five hours talking non stop we only
managed a walk from the site in the rain. A super weekend!
