Away again for a long weekend, Thursday 13th May, back on Monday. Seaside this time, Filey Brigg Country Park. A big open site sat above Filey Brigg and the bay.
Arrived in glorious sunshine and clear blue skies, by teatime the tide came in bringing the fog. We had a quick walk along the tops to look over Filey Brigg.

DAY ONE
Friday, we made the best of a cloudy cold day, drove to Danes's Dyke Nature Park and did a circular walk from the park to Sewerby, along the cliffs with views of Bridlington and back through the pretty flower strewn Dane's Dyke.
Drove to North Landing and had a quick walk along the cliffs seeing the thousands of mating birds. Ice cream for Roy and back to van.

DAY TWO
A much better day, still a cold east wind but the sun shone! My niece Amanda, her husband Richard, son Taylor and his friend Sonny joined us and we had a fun beach day. Games of Boules at campsite before inflating the kayak and trouping down to the beach where Taylor and Sonny braved the icy North Sea and mastered kayaking over the waves. Meanwhile Rich showed Roy and myself just how to fly our kite.. After refreshments back at our site we walked to the end of the promontory overlooking the Brigg before going down to inspect the rock pools. Taylor spotted about four dolphins swimming in the bay!
A good day had by all!

DAY THREE
We said bye to our lively gang and today did our annual walk to Bempton cliffs to spot the puffins and of course the thousands of Gannets, razorbills and guillemots.
Weather was fine apart from some misty patches and odd sunshine burst.
