SNAINTON AT THE PHEASANTRY CAMPSITE 8 AUGUST 2023

The sun finally arrived, we took off for a few days to a peaceful site near Snainton.

Our first day, we spent at Thornton le Dale Show was superb, sunshine, animals, stalls, entertainment and good food!

A lovely 6.5 mile circular walk from Hutton le Hole to Gillamoor and back. Sunshine at times with woodland walks and up to heather and bracken tops.

                                                            HUTTON LE HOLE

Our last day, wall to wall sunshine, we drove to Staintondale and walked the Cinder track to Ravenscar, coffee time, then back along the Coast path, enjoying lunch overlooking endless sea. Roy being map-reader extraordinaire found a trail he wanted to take but sadly it was so overgrown he needed my pole to bash the nettles while he checked it out. Back to plan B ending at the cinder path again. A superb 7 mile walk. End of a super few days, fish and chips for tea to round off the time here.
