CAMPING DU VIVIER AUX CARPES. SERAUCOURT-LE -GRAND - FRANCE FINALE

Our last campsite, a beautiful one in a small village just outside Ste Quentin.
The weather was exceptional, we had a wander in the small village and found the Canal du St Quentin but couldn't find a way on to the towpath so retraced our steps, and found the canal basin, the river Somme and a huge Carp and Trout fishing area. We then  set off to find the British Cemetery signposted with no mileage. Luckily it was just in the village up a quiet leafy lane set atop the rolling hills.
It's the first war cemetery we have visited and I have to admit it made me cry. We were the only ones there and it was so peaceful and well kept. Such an emotional place.

We have  had the most wonderful time here in France - we will return!
