ILFRACOMBE AND THE TORRS WALK

Cloudy, windy with intermittent rain and sunshine day.
We drove the short 5 miles to Ilfracombe, parked the car and walked down to the quay, saw the Damien Hirst statue VERITY on the end of the quay (quite startling!), wandered round the shops then back to car to pick up our lunch and headed up to The Torrs walk, a short but steep walk to give superb views over Ilfracombe. We managed to have our lunch without rain while watching the many showers out to sea.
Pretty wildflowers still in blossom and when I've no views to take I resort to flowers!
A gentle last day here in Woolacombe, tomorrow we are stopping overnight at Bridport then Sunday on to Corfe Castle for 4 nights.
