Drove the short distance to Barnard Castle Camping and Caravan Club site just outside Barnard Castle. A lovely site, we did a 3 mile round trip walk into Barnard Castle by the side of the rivers Dee and Tees to fill in the first afternoon. Sunshine and windy.

TUESDAY 5TH JULY
Drove to Middleton in Teesdale to do a 7 mile walk including Harter Fell and Grassholme reservoir and a section of the Pennine Way. Weather cloudy odd bits of sunshine and still windy. Couldn't walk along reservoir as work being done so had a fair bit of road walking.
