THE CATLINS

A glorious day driving south to the famed Catlins Southern Rainforest area.
We stopped at the waterfalls, we spent an hour chatting with some Kiwis from Wellington who told us to stop at their farm on our way through and we arrived at Curio Bay campsite sat amongst individual sites edged by tall flax, so no view but a minutes walk you can be at Porpoise and Curio Bays. A superb site for $36 with electric.

Have just realised today is Shrove Tuesday as the campsite is selling pancake mix for $5 – we passed on that!
