Temperature this morning in van was
1oC but soon cosy with heater on. We drove a very short distance up
the Col de l'Iseran and parked at Pte St Charles car park and hiked
up to the Refuge de Prariond at 7611 ft, weather was good and quite
clear but as we headed up towards the Col de la Galise at 9782ft we
reached the junction at 9006ft, the cloud was so thick and raining we
decided it was safer to turn around and go back. Such a shame we
never made it to the Col at the Italian border but we wouldn't have
seen any views.
