Just 40 miles or so but all the winding roads meant it took 3 hours and a stop for lunch and a stop to buy some perfume!
Grasse is famous for perfume, so when we spotted a place up in the hills called La Source Perfumee we had to stop.
The lady spoke excellent English and told us so much about perfume making, after trying a couple I plumped for a bottle of Rose with pink pepper - lovely!
The campsite just outside Grasse called Camping Le Parc des Monges was almost empty and closes on Saturday, so we booked until then. 57 euros for 3 nights - good value out of season!
