NORTHLAND BOUND

Drove to Mangawhai Heads and did the 2+ hours walk that took us up along cliff path then back along the rocky beach before the tide caught us! A beautiful, hot, sunny day following yesterdays rain but we had some strong wind which was pleasant for walking.
Still heading north, we stopped off to see Whangarei Falls which were quite stunning!
Roy had picked a conservation campsite on the Whangaruru North head peninsula, but we underestimated how very windy the road was, a very quiet road no other traffic but endless!
Finally arrived at a gorgeous campsite on the edge of the water so well worth the drive.
