TAURANGA BAY TO MATUARI BAY AND MAHINIPUA PENINSULA WALK


We have spent many nights looking up at the night sky,but the area here in Wharangoa district in Northland has had exceptional dark skies. Billions of stars with the fabulous Milky Way in all its glory, I need a better camera to take these wonderful skies!

We didn't move far today just a couple of bays along the Whangaroa coast, cloudy but the sprinkles managed to stay away until we'd done a very pretty 2 hour walk,with flowers still in bloom on the Mahinipua Peninsula.
Everything is running out foodwise which is good, Roy making his last couple of days plans for where to stay as we move back to Auckland for Saturday afternoon.
