KANZELWANDBAHN TO FELLHORN AND SOLLERECK HIKE

Oh what a perfect Day! Superb weather, endless vistas of stunning mountains. Drove 5 miles into Austria to Riezlern. We took the cable car to Kanzelwand at 1968m then hiked for about 9 miles of outstanding beauty. After a short steep climb up to Fellhorn at 2038 m the crowds thinned as we continued along the ridge to Schlappolteck with excellent views in all directions all the way. A bit of a hairy drop and some short snow bits and then an easy hike back all the way to Riezlern. And finally we stopped at Schrattenwang Alpe for coffee and ice cream.
