NEUF BRISACH

After the worst thunderstorm either of us have ever experienced lasting more than two hours with forked and sheet lightning and claps of thunder to rattle the van, we woke early to sort out the electric which had been off all night. Jobs done we left for short journey to Neuf Brisach just before the German border for a couple of nights. Finally the sun came out and it warmed up again, the lovely campsite was a short walk from the walled town a Unesco World Heritage Site 1699. Had a good explore round the place and bought some delicious quiche and onion tart for dinner.

A glorious sunny day 26oC we drove 7 km to the edge of the Rhine/ Grand Canal D'Alsace and walked and walked! Saw the expensive Viking Cruises boats then walked over the bridge into Germany and explored Breisach am Rhin, a delightful old town.
