PFRONTEN, FUSSEN AND HOHENSCHWANGAU AND NEUSCHWANSTEIN CASTLES

An hours drive took us to Pfronten, our base for visiting Neuschwanstein Castle. A walk from site and we saw these cuties!

And these guys followed us over the pass to Pfronten

 And these beauties were at our lunch stop

And this is Pfronten Camping, Roy worn out driving for an hour!

A fascinating day visiting these two magical castles. The world and his wife come here in their millions, we only had to queue half an hour for tickets to see inside Neuschwanstein and got a 12-25 tour in English. We walked up to look around Hohenschwangau first then across to the famous Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Castle.

While mad King Ludwig 11 might have been insane, bankrupted the country and died in suspicious circumstances, he left an amazing legacy for Germany.

I love this castle, I came here about 45 years ago with my first husband and it still thrilled me to see it all again, Roy loved it too.
